‘Cruising West’ is a yachtsmans guide to anchorages around our Australian coastline from Cape York to Fremantle and around to Wilsons Promontory. It covers a distance of over 6000 miles and details more than 170 anchorages. Except for 600 miles across the Great Australian Bight and 180 miles across the Gulf of Carpentaria it is possible, with average weather and forward planning to day sail this area and have a reasonable anchorage every night.
